SMART announces new vice president of North American sales
Patric Nagel adds depth and experience to executive team
CALGARY, Alberta --- February 23, 2007 --- SMART Technologies Inc. announces the appointment of Patric Nagel to the position of vice president, North American sales. Based out of SMART’s headquarters in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Nagel is responsible for driving overall sales growth, and the channel and sales strategies for SMART’s products and services in North America. An accomplished executive, Nagel has an extensive career in sales and marketing, bringing with him the skills and expertise to help take SMART to the next level during a period of significant growth.
Prior to joining SMART, Nagel held the position of vice president, sales, at a leading Canadian brewery. He has also held executive or senior positions with well-known brand-name organizations. Throughout his 20-year career, Nagel has developed and led high-performance sales organizations, all focused on customer satisfaction. Nagel has an MBA, with a concentration in marketing and entrepreneurship and a BA in economics/political studies.
